A little about me…

I’m Kim Ellsworth (she/hers), a UX Designer. My most recent position was in the exciting field of Cybersecurity and AI. My UX career has ranged from cybersecurity and AI, fintech, e-commerce, to SaaS and more. To design with both intention and creativity, I consider:

  • stakeholder requirements

  • user needs, motivations, and problems

  • product goals and lifecycle

My perspective on user centered design is based on my background in Higher Education and linguistics. Since January 2020, I’ve designed new features and improved upon existing experiences for Vectra AI, designed a net new product for Ally, supported 4 startups with early stage research and design, and worked with a global digital consultancy. The quick highlights include:

  • Collaborating with Senior Designers, Product Managers, Front and Back-End Engineers, Data Scientists, Security Researchers, Sales and Consulting Engineers to conceptualize and implement intuitive user experiences for AI-driven cybersecurity products, ensuring alignment with competing stakeholder requirements.

  • Designing and releasing products to improve the experience for Ally’s auto line of business

  • UX Consulting for a Fortune 500 client of Perficient

  • Creating content for user interest testing prior to the development of a physical product

  • Competitive usability heuristics analysis of direct competitors

  • Subject Matter Expert and User interviews for each project

  • Concept testing of rapidly iterated low-fidelity concepts

The projects I’ve showcased in my portfolio include:
